Kappa Theta Epsilon

The Kappa Theta Epsilon Society is a national cooperative education honor society which was founded in 1957. The purpose of Kappa Theta Epsilon is to confer honor upon cooperative education students who exhibit distinguished scholarship, industrial ability, integrity, breadth of interest, and adaptability.

The Kappa Theta Epsilon Society stands to promote the Cooperative Education program by maintaining contact between students, faculty, industry, and other Cooperative Education organizations.

Kappa Theta Epsilon Society Exists to:

  • Recognize and honor cooperative education students who excel scholastically.
  • Promote academic achievement among cooperative education students
  • Inform students of the advantages of enrolling in a cooperative education program.
  • Assist cooperative education offices in their recruiting efforts.

Requirements for Membership:

Those eligible for membership in Kappa Theta Epsilon are undergraduate students in the cooperative education program who:

  • Have completed at least 50% of the requirements for his/her degree.
  • Are scholastically ranked in the top fifth of his/her class.

Neither race, sex, creed nor membership in any other organization shall be used as a criteria for membership in Kappa Theta Epsilon.
