The Selection Process

After an employer describes the position and the qualifications needed to fill it, the Co-op counselor uses that information in the prescreening of appropriate candidates through a review of resumes. Once suitable students are identified for the position, the employer may interview and select the best candidate(s). The employer notifies the Co-op counselor of the decision so that credit can be arranged with the student. Salaries can vary with the nature of the position and the educational level of the student.
