Social investments that mirror your organization's culture! Today's corporations face growing expectations from the public, their employees and stakeholders. While philanthropic involvement has a positive social impact on society, it should also be considered a development tool for corporations. A philanthropy strategy that incorporates your corporation's culture and values and is aligned with your business objectives is a powerful vehicle for growth. Not only do philanthropic efforts benefit the corporation's image, thanks to societal impacts, but they also bear positively on all facets of the business, like human resources, research and development and marketing. This is especially true in the case of education institutions. Supporting the School of Environmental and Biological Sciences (SEBS) gives corporate giving Business Value. The issues we work on have both an immediate or long-term impact on our world and the environment. We work on a variety of themes and programs that can cater for your company's interests. Your support may include employees' volunteering programs; gifts for community projects, locally or internationally; equipment or in-kind donations; funding for faculty and research, students or facilities.

Sponsorship

Sponsorship differs from philanthropy in that it often refers to initiatives that your company has a direct, vested interest in supporting, for example events, naming opportunities, outreach. Sponsoring gives your corporation direct and sometimes permanent exposure to serve purposes as varied as marketing and sales development, employer's appeal, brand image management, networking opportunities. Our school provides a platform to businesses engaged in common communities or interest groups.

Contract Work

Our team of researchers and our student body offer expertise to help your business achieve its goals in a more effective and focused way. We can help with a research program, consultation needs and deployment of well-trained, supervised students. Our laboratories and equipment can also be rented on demand.

Time

As a school concerned with workplace preparedness for its students, we welcome involvement from corporations or professionals. Increased connections with the corporate world benefit students and faculty alike by bringing real-life experience to the classroom.

Matching Gifts

Matching employees' gifts to our school is a way to maximize their impact. A matching gift policy can be independent from or complementary with a strategic, concerted philanthropic program with our school.
