Area Requirements

The degree requirements include completion of courses in these eight areas:

  1. Interdisciplinary/Ethical Analysis
  2. Introductory Life and Physical Sciences
  3. Humanities and Arts
  4. Multicultural and International Studies
  5. Human Behavior, Economic Systems, and Political Processes
  6. Oral and Written Communication
  7. Experience-Based Education
  8. Competence in a Field/Concentration (including Quantitative Skills, Computer Competence, and Professional Ethics)

Students who entered Cook College prior to the Spring 2003 semester should follow the pre-2003 requirements.

Students must follow degree requirements under their major--some majors will specify specific courses that are required for an area. For more information, see Core Curriculum Requirements.
