On Advising Day you will meet with your academic advisor to discuss classes for Fall 2009. During the advising session, your advisor will discuss the impact of the placement tests, give an overview of the core curriculum requirements, talk to you about major selection, direct you to university academic support resources, and guide you through the course planning process. During the program, you will be signing off on a fall Course Request Form, so attendance is mandatory. The program will run from 8:30AM until 12:00PM.
To receive the most accurate and effective advising, you must complete your Rutgers Placement Testing at least two weeks prior to the Academic Advising Day you are planning to attend. Please schedule accordingly. You must also submit your Registration Information Form by the May 2, 2009 deadline (FAX to Dean Sharice Richardson at 732-932-8880).

Out-of-State Students
If you live 200 miles or more away and can't attend the Placement Tests, you have two special options for completing placement testing:- Ask your guidance counselor to proctor the placement tests. Counselors should contact the Senior Program Administrator for Testing and Placement, April Pagano, at 732-932-8445 or pagano@instlres.rutgers.edu to make arrangements.
- If you will be coming to campus when a placement test is not available and can extend your stay, you can set up special arrangements by contacting Ms. Pagano at the above number/email.
Out of State students may complete advising over the phone with Dean Sharice Richardson, (732)932-3000 x 512.
