Scientific Inquiry Component

The focus of the Science Inquiry Component is to provide a multidisciplinary approach to the development of scientific learning related to the challenges encountered by students who are contemplating science careers. In the sciences, the transition from high school to college creates new boundaries that are complicated by the amount of material students are required to master.  This course will allow students to explore controlled variables, proportional reasoning, probability and recognizing correlations; serving as a stepping stone for those students who meet the university requirements for taking science in their fall semester.

Group discussions will emphasize current research materials related to global issues that impact our society. Small groups will focus developing the critical thinking skills necessary to enhance success in the sciences.
