Summer Session Reimbursement Program

Continuing EOF students are eligible, dependent on funding, for partial tuition reimbursement for certain summer session courses. Eligibility is determined as follows:

  • All students must have had regular sessions with their EOF counselor during the academic year.
  • First year students are required to make three contacts per month with their program counselor.
  • First year students must have successfully participated in the Critical Thinking Course and Academic Skills Seminar (academic support program and workshops).
  • All students must have been enrolled full-time during the preceding Spring semester.
  • All students must submit a completed program application by the May deadline.
  • First-year students and undeclared majors must have participated in fall and spring course advising.
  • Students on academic probation must have participated in all required programs, including tutorials.
  • All students must have made timely submission of copies of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
  • Students must have enrolled in the Solid GEMS Chemistry course sequence, if chemistry is required.

Reimbursement Program Rules

  • Students must earn a “C” or better to be eligible for reimbursement.
  • Student course selection for reimbursement purposes must be approved by an EOF counselor. (Obtain signature on application.)
  • Students will not receive summer session reimbursement for General Chemistry 161 or Co-operative Education courses.
  • Students may not receive reimbursement for courses that do not satisfy curriculum requirements.
  • The amount of reimbursement per credit will depend on the total funds allotted for this program.  The Office of Special Programs makes no guarantee of the amount students may receive.
