Dear Student,
Thank you for expressing an interest in Rutgers' School of Environmental and Biological Sciences (SEBS) and visiting our website for prospective students. This website is designed to give you information about our programs of study, explain opportunities for touring the campus, and guide you through general information about our programs and services.
SEBS is built upon a heritage of innovative curricula and cutting edge research and is a natural choice for students interested in the sciences. SEBS is a small professional school with all of the advantages of a major research university. SEBS prepares students for professional school (medical, dental, veterinary medicine, and law), graduate study and positions in government, industry, business, and health related areas.
- Programs like Cooperative Education, which supplements campus-based studies with part-time or full-time employment related to your major or career interest.
- Excellent acceptance rate into professional programs (medical, dental, veterinary, and law) as well as other graduate programs.
- State-of-the-art facilities in food science, animal science, biotechnology, marine science, environmental science and natural resources, just to name a few.
- Excellent academic advising program.
- On-campus housing for all students who apply
- Internationally known faculty providing research opportunities to students encouraging their interest in scientific research and creative projects in the SEBS Curricula. Our student-to-faculty ratio is 15:1.
- Interactive student life and leadership program. Students play an active role in the development of the school.
- A small, friendly campus environment (3,000 students) within a distinguished university.
We hope that you will consider the many opportunities that SEBS has to offer its students. A list of our Undergraduate Program Directors with phone numbers is also included in this website. If you have specific questions about any of our programs of study, please feel free to call the Office of Academic Programs and Research at 732-932-3000 x512.
Sincerely,
Sharice Richardson
