The 2024 SEBS Convocation is on rain or shine! However, in case of severe weather, it will be moved to Tuesday, May 14.

What time should graduates arrive?
Graduates should arrive at Red Oak Lane by 9 a.m. sharp for check-in and line placement. -
What should graduates wear?
Graduates are required to wear their regalia for the ceremony, with suggested semi-formal attire underneath the robes. -
Where do we park?
Parking lots in the surrounding area will be reserved for student/guest parking on the day of the ceremony. -
How long is the ceremony?
The ceremony is approximately 2 hours long. -
What if the weather is bad?
Rain gear is suggested for light showers. If weather conditions are unsafe, a rain date of Tuesday the 14th will be scheduled, with a final decision made prior to the ceremony. -
How many guests can one graduate bring?
There is no limit to the number of guests, but attendees are encouraged to arrive early due to limited supplies. Tickets are not required. -
Where do guests sit?
Families of our graduates are encouraged to bring their own chairs, but seats will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis. -
Will there be ADA seating?
ADA seating will be available for those with mobility, hearing, and visual impairments. -
Will there be food?
There will be no food at the ceremony, but water and sodas will be available. Families can bring snacks, but all garbage must be disposed of after the event. -
Can we watch it online?
The event will be livestreamed for those unable to attend in person, the link can be found on this website.
Academic Regalia
Academic regalia is required to participate in commencement and convocation ceremonies.
As graduation day approaches, we want to ensure that you have everything you need to make it a memorable and special occasion!
This is a friendly reminder to submit your regalia order at your earliest convenience. The last date to place your order is March 31.
Regalia will be available at Barnes and Noble starting April 4, 2024, while supplies last. To place your regalia order, please use the link here. and follow the instructions provided. Diploma Application
May 2024 graduates can submit the application now. For August 2024 graduates, the application opens April 1. The Online Diploma Application can be found here. Do not wait to submit your application! Please remember to fill out the Phonetic Spelling to ensure we announce your name properly during the ceremony.
Photographing and Filming at Graduation
By attending this event, you agree to give Rutgers University permission to record you and your guests' (including minors under the age of 18) image and/or voice and grant Rutgers all rights to use the sound, still, or moving images in any medium for educational, promotional, advertising, or other purposes that support the mission of the university.
