Students at the Rutgers School of Environmental and Biological Sciences (SEBS) have the best of both worlds. While taking advantage of all a large state university has to offer, our students enjoy the cozy atmosphere of a small college. Nestled on the George H. Cook Campus, students form bonding relationships with their peers in their classes, their dormitories or apartments, the dining hall, the campus center, and even on the campus farm.
The much-cherished annual Ag Field Day brings current and former students, many with their families, back for a day of reminiscing, the world's largest egg toss, cockroach races, music, and more. While this event's popularity has grown to attract thousands from surrounding communities and even inspired Rutgers to expand into the university-wide Rutgers Day, Ag Field Day is still the flagship event, much loved by the SEBS community.
Our students also have an opportunity for school-wide socializing in a more intimate setting at Community Day, a break from classes to enjoy fun and frolic. The event's name says it all—we are a real community.
