Rutgers School of Environmental and Biological Sciences offers students the benefits of a large university with the feeling of a close-knit community. Situated on the George H. Cook Campus, a campus with much greenery and natural beauty, the School is in the prime location for environmental and scientific research and study. From molecules to ecosystems and their associated policy and business impacts, the 21 undergraduate majors, 33 minors and certificate programs, and 13 affiliated graduate programs at the School cover the entire biological spectrum.
Here at the School of Environmental and Biological Sciences our focus on excellence in teaching, research, outreach, and extension comes to life. From the classrooms, fields, and laboratories on campus to the unique opportunities offered by the New Jersey Agricultural Experiment Station's laboratories, farms, business incubators, and marine stations throughout the state of New Jersey, your opportunities for experience-based learning are diverse, plenty, and enriching.
For students at the School of Environmental and Biological Sciences, learning takes place both at home in New Jersey and around the world. We believe in the importance of an internationalized education and that every student should be able to take their education to a global level by studying and researching abroad. The Office of International Programs provides scholarship opportunities which are open to all of the school's students to help offset the costs of their study abroad program of choice. International students are also welcome to apply.
