Where We Are
The School of Environmental and Biological Sciences is located on the George H. Cook campus of Rutgers in New Brunswick, New Jersey—known as the Hub City because it lies at the convergence of Central New Jersey's major corridors. Straddled by the Raritan River, New Brunswick offers convenient access to New York City (38 mi., 61 km) and Philadelphia (65 mi., 105 km) and the treasured beaches of the Jersey Shore. New Brunswick is a bustling city with theaters, museums, restaurants, nightlife and culture and direct train and bus lines to Manhattan. In addition to the urban vibe, our students have at their disposal animal, produce and turfgrass farms, woods and trails, display gardens, community gardens, and even a bamboo forest.
