Frequently Asked Questions

  • No. At Rutgers–New Brunswick, all students benefit from being able to access and study at all 5 campuses. While your major may live at SEBS/Cook Campus, you do not have to.

  • You can apply after the regular decision deadline, but consideration for scholarships and honors will be reduced.

  • SEBS has no limit on the number of AP credits you can bring in. You need to have earned at least a 4 on the exam. If you are a student doing college credits while in high school, you still apply as a first-year student. You need to provide us with all official transcripts to get credit.

  • Rutgers has around 40,000 undergraduate students with goals and a passion for certain majors just like you. In order to provide students with access to popular majors, our faculty at different schools work together and offer the same degree at Rutgers–New Brunswick.

  • In your first year, the focus of your experience is making sure you are adjusted socially and academically to the university. As a result, your first year will not include a study or internship abroad, but the SEBS Office of Global Engagement can work with you on what opportunities you’ll have the next year and beyond.

  • When you apply to Rutgers, admissions will determine if you are eligible to be part of the Honors College or the SEBS Honors Program. It’s not something you apply for directly at that time. While you only have one chance to be offered to join the Honors College, you can apply for the Honors Program after your first semester at SEBS.

  • In a snapshot, the philosophy and mission of SEBS is that of a professional school. That means we pride ourselves on experience-based education. You leave here with a quality education and employable work experience. We’re a smaller school too, so our class sizes provide more attention and interaction with our professors, and you get to personally connect with other students in the community to make meaningful friendships. We offer the most classes taught outdoors and research/internships both locally and overseas.
