This science event will feature lectures given by two speakers. Gustavo Duque, MD, PhD, Dr. Joseph Kaufmann Chair in Geriatric Medicine at McGill University and Director of the Simone & Edouard Schouela RUISSS McGill Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Health of Seniors, will present his talk “How Aging Affects Bone and Muscle Crosstalk.” Clifford J. Rosen, MD, Director of Clinician and Translational Research and Senior Scientist at Maine Medical Center Research Institute and Professor of Medicine at Tufts University School of Medicine, will present his lecture “Weight Loss Induced Bone Loss: Mechanisms and Mitigations.” These presentations will be followed by a poster session in which laboratories from all Rutgers campuses, including its medical school branches, will showcase their work.
