This seminar highlights current updates from Dr. Tess Stahl’s integrated work in livestock Extension programming, teaching, and applied research at Rutgers. Her programs have delivered workshops, producer resources, and youth education across New Jersey, with a focus on practical tools to improve livestock health, nutrition, and farm management.
Dr. Stahl’s research interests include ruminant nutrition and its impact on lactation performance, youngstock growth and development, and the use of alternative feedstuffs to enhance farm profitability and sustainability. In the classroom, she teaches courses such as Production Animal Management and Farm Productivity Analysis, where students gain hands-on experience and apply problem-solving skills to real-world challenges.
Attendees will gain an overview of recent programming, teaching outcomes, and future research directions that connect science directly to on-farm practices.
